Disposal of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)

What does this mean to my business?

Failure to comply with the directive will expose a business to the possibility of financial penalties.

Businesses throughout Europe will soon be held responsible for proper disposal of all Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) they use that falls under the scope of the directive.
Businesses must therefore:

  • Ensure WEEE is disposed of through proper channels
  • Ensure relevant Data Destruction is carried out when disposing of computers
